In-Orbit Services GNC Engineer - Relative Navigation(m/w/x)
Integrating relative navigation module into GNC framework for Nyx orbital vehicle. GNC algorithm development and spacecraft relative navigation experience required. Relocation assistance.
Anforderungen
- Master's or PhD in Aerospace Engineering or related field with GNC/autonomous systems focus
- Proficiency in GNC algorithm development (Kalman filtering, sensor fusion, optimal control)
- Experience with relative navigation sensors (LiDAR, optical cameras, RF ranging) and GNC integration
- Familiarity with HIL testing environments (dSPACE, Speedgoat, or custom setups)
- Hands-on experience in GNC system development with spacecraft relative navigation
- Proficiency in programming and data analysis (Python, MATLAB, C++)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, conveying technical concepts
- Willingness to give proactive and mindful feedback
- Passion for space industry sustainability and high motivation for fast-paced startup environment
- Fluent English
Aufgaben
- Integrate relative navigation module into GNC framework.
- Collaborate to define sensor interfaces and protocols.
- Design and implement simplified navigation models.
- Predict and analyze navigation performance.
- Develop simulation tools and scripts (Python, C++).
- Perform error budgets and sensitivity analyses.
- Validate models against simulations and empirical data.
- Plan, design, and execute HIL tests.
- Validate GNC system accuracy and robustness.
- Develop test cases and scripts for simulations.
- Analyze HIL test results.
- Identify discrepancies and propose corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure GNC requirements are met.
- Document technical designs, procedures, and results.
- Support design reviews and risk assessments.
- Support trade studies for GNC architecture.
