- Familiarity with GPU computing infrastructure (CUDA, etc.)
- Solid understanding of IT security principles (ISO 27001, NIS2)
- Solid understanding of data protection laws (DSGVO, DSG)
- Scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash, Ansible, or similar)
- Strong passion for open-source software

- Translate business and research requirements into solutions
- Plan and execute complex IT and security projects
- Operate and scale HPC clusters and GPU resources
- Support computational biology, genomics, and machine learning
- Manage virtualization and containerization platforms
- Develop and maintain scheduling and job management systems
- Ensure stable, secure, and performant IT operations
- Adhere to standards like ISO 27001
- Manage data protection compliance (DSGVO/GDPR, Austrian DSG)
- Coordinate secure data transfers for scientific projects
- Collaborate with research groups on infrastructure and software
- Evaluate and integrate ML/AI infrastructure and tooling
- Communicate transparently with stakeholders and vendors
- Establish and optimize IT processes and documentation
