- 2-4 years hands-on network engineering experience, including Juniper hardware configuration/support
- Proficiency in networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS) and OSI Layers 1-4
- Expertise with Juniper routers/switches and monitoring tools
- Knowledge of virtualization and security practices (IPSec, Radius/TACACS+, 802.1x)
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools for traffic analysis, capacity planning, performance optimization
- Experience with network security (IDS, ACLs, IPSEC tunnels) and compliance (DISA STIG Checklist)
- Technical expertise in network/computer hardware/software interconnection (routers, switches, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways)
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Awareness of emerging technologies (SDN, cloud migration) and ability to recommend improvements
- JNCIA-Junos, JNCIS-ENT, JNCIP-ENT, or JNCIE-ENT certification
- Capability of climbing ladders, tolerating confined spaces/extreme temperatures
