Optimizing electric traction motors for complex automotive drive systems with advanced simulation tools. Master/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Physics essential. 40% remote work, 24/12 and 31/12 off.
Anforderungen
- Passion for electric machines, drivetrains, and e-mobility
- Independent work style

- Communicative attitude and teamwork skills
- Degree from a technical university (Master/PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Physics
- Experience in design of electrical machines and knowledge of electrical drivetrains
- Experience with FE tools for electromagnetic/thermal design, preferably Ansys MotorCAD and Maxwell 2D/3D
- Programming skills for workflow automation and tool scripting, preferably using Python
- Insight into industrialization of electric motors is an advantage
- Experience in automotive requirements including relevant guidelines and codes
- Knowledge of requirements management system tools like PTC Integrity is an advantage
- Fluency in English, German is advantageous
Aufgaben
- Design and optimize electric traction motors
- Utilize modern simulation tools and optimization algorithms
- Identify and implement innovative motor and manufacturing technologies
- Enhance the current simulation workflow and optimization environment
- Collaborate with scientific partners
- Support testing and industrialization of electric machines
- Calibrate simulation models based on test results
- Define and assess electric machine requirements
- Align engineering efforts with the System and Electronics Department
- Collaborate with global eMotor Engineering teams
- Participate in project teams and present simulation results to suppliers and customers
