Anforderungen
- Master's degree or equivalent relevant experience
- Deploying and operating email/groupware platform (>10k users), ideally Microsoft Exchange/Exchange Online hybrid
- Extensive knowledge of email technologies and protocols (Microsoft Exchange Online, Active Directory/Entra ID integration, SMTP, POP, IMAP, routing, mailing lists, mailbox storage)
- Experience engaging with users and stakeholders of large IT services
- Strong background in scalability, security, and reliability challenges
- Solid understanding of ICT security standards and best practices in email domain (DKIM, DMARC, SPF, anti-spam/malware/phishing, encryption, hardening)
- Experience managing email authentication and reputation, ensuring deliverability
- Experience in architecture and design of complex, resilient ICT systems
- DevOps skills (CI/CD, Gitlab, containerisation)
- Experience in configuration management systems (Puppet, Ansible)
- Knowledge of database/data analytics technologies, especially SQL and ELK stack (plus)
- Knowledge of communication technologies and protocols (SMTP, POP, IMAP, email routing, mailing lists, mailbox storage)
- Knowledge of ICT security standards and policies in email domain (DKIM, DMARK, SPF, anti-spam, anti-malware, anti-phishing, encryption, hardening)
- Administration of computing systems (Microsoft Exchange, Exchange Online, other email platforms, Active Directory, Entra ID)
- Architecture and design of ICT systems, including redundancy and storage systems
- Knowledge of programming languages for scripting and automation (Powershell, Python, C#)

- Spoken and written English, with commitment to learn French
Aufgaben
- Lead operation and evolution of CERN’s email and groupware platform
- Oversee smooth operation of Microsoft Exchange on-premises and Exchange Online
- Maintain and integrate services with broader CERN IT environment
- Monitor service performance, reliability, and quality
- Ensure adherence to SLAs and CERN policies
- Investigate and troubleshoot operational issues and performance problems
- Engage with user communities, IT service managers, and stakeholders
- Configure and maintain CERN’s email routing
- Oversee email authentication and reputation (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
- Collaborate with CERN Security Team on spam and malware filtering
- Develop and maintain integrations with on-premises and cloud systems (Python, C#)
- Provide user support and drive continuous improvement
- Curate knowledge bases, FAQs, and service documentation websites
- Deliver targeted communications when necessary
- Participate in support rota and other section-managed activities
