- 7+ years in Cloud FinOps or Cloud Financial Management
- Success in managing significant AWS spend
- Deep expertise in AWS cost structures
- Expertise in Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, Spot, CUR
- Exceptional analytical skills
- Exceptional financial modeling skills
- Building data-driven business cases
- Hands-on experience optimizing application architecture for cost
- Ability to partner with engineering teams
- Engage and communicate complex ideas effectively
- Material experience leading large-scale commercial negotiations
- Material experience participating in large-scale commercial negotiations
- Proven track record designing Cloud FinOps practice
- Proven track record building Cloud FinOps practice
- Creating process and strategy from early stage
- Proficiency with scripting (Python/Bash) is a strong plus
- Experience with third-party tools (Vantage, CloudHealth) is a strong plus
Aufgaben
- Architect and own the financial operating model for cloud infrastructure
- Optimize the company's largest technology investment
- Transform cloud spend into a predictable, efficient engine for innovation
- Report to senior leadership on financial clarity and strategic decisions
- Support negotiation of multi-million dollar cloud contracts
- Champion a culture of cost ownership in the engineering organization
- Empower teams with cost dashboards, insights, and training
- Design and implement a universal resource tagging strategy
- Create robust showback/chargeback models for engineering teams
- Drive a company-wide optimization program
- Partner with engineering to refactor applications for cost
- Adopt new pricing models to reduce costs
- Eliminate systemic waste in cloud spending
- Develop and execute cloud vendor negotiation strategies
- Right-size commitments to align with business strategy
- Eliminate financial risk in cloud vendor agreements
- Build and operate a data-driven forecasting model
- Partner with Tech and Finance to eliminate spending volatility
- Provide a reliable cloud budget and accurate forecast
