(Sr) ENGINEER FOR SUSPENSION ENGINEERING DESIGN(m/w/x)
Designing suspension systems for next-gen autonomous European vehicles, preparing concept designs and releasing drawings. 3+ years automotive industry experience, strong suspension systems and chassis integration knowledge required. Work on cutting-edge autonomous vehicle technology, cross-functional team collaboration.
Anforderungen
- Degree in mechanical or automotive engineering
- Minimum 3 years of professional automotive industry experience ideally with an OEM or Tier 1 supplier
- Strong knowledge of suspension systems, bushings, mounts, dampers, springs and chassis integration
- Familiarity with OEM R&D processes, project management, and cross-functional collaboration
- Experience in analyzing test, simulation, and validation results and translating findings into actionable solutions
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimize suspension performance for ride and handling
- Knowledge of advanced technologies is a plus (active suspension systems, MR dampers, composite materials, 3D printing)
- Excellent communication skills, able to prepare technical reports, proposals and presentations in English
- Willingness to travel (including mid/long-term trips to Korea), valid EU Driving license B, Software: CATIA V5
Aufgaben
- Engineer suspension systems for European vehicle programs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for design compatibility
- Prepare concept designs and drive system development
- Prepare EO/ECR and release drawings with suppliers
- Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and purchasing for production readiness
- Scout and develop new technologies with suppliers and at industry conferences
- Propose improvements to existing components and enhance development standards
- Work closely with the R&D Center in Namyang, South Korea
