Anforderungen

  • Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 5 years of experience in space systems engineering
  • Experience in space systems qualification and integration
  • Basic knowledge of CAD and FEA tools
  • Basic knowledge of hand calculations for structural sizing
  • Good understanding of space design principles and materials
  • Good understanding of mechanism design for space application
  • Familiarity with industry standards and DFMR
  • Programming skills to support internal tool development (asset)
  • Fluent English
  • German or French or Italian language skills (asset)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to present technical information clearly and concisely
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong organizing and prioritization of tasks

Aufgaben

  • Design and develop parachute systems for aerospace vehicles
  • Lead conceptual and detailed design of parachute deployment systems
  • Create and maintain technical documentation (requirements, design reports, analysis summaries, test plans)
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams for system integration
  • Evaluate mechanical and thermal loads, material selection, and interface requirements
  • Perform sizing calculations for system assemblies
  • Define and execute development test plans from concept to qualification
  • Set up test configurations, instrumentation, and data analysis for system validation
  • Coordinate with suppliers and external partners for hardware sourcing and qualification
  • Support trade-off studies for weight, cost, reliability, manufacturability, and safety
