Job opportunity Test Engineer (a), 100 % at Brugg Cables * German * English * Job offers # Test Engineer (a), 100 % ## Your tasks * Develop, implement and update comprehensive test plans, frameworks, procedures and test cases based on product specifications, customer requirements, and industry standards, including components, systems. * Identify and define testing objectives, test criteria, and success metrics. * Conduct manual and automated tests on products, components, and systems to evaluate performance, functionality, durability, and safety (including setup, calibration, troubleshooting) * Analyze, document and present test results, including detailed descriptions of test procedures, findings, and any deviations from expected outcomes. * Identify and diagnose issues, defects, and failures during testing, working to understand root causes and retest products after modifications to ensure that issues have been successfully resolved. * Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, quality assurance, and production, to ensure that testing is integrated into the product development process. * Ensure all testing activities comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols and maintain a strong focus on safety during testing, especially when working with potentially hazardous materials, components, or environments. ## Your profile * Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus. * Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a testing or quality assurance role, preferably within the cable and accessories industry experience with both manual and automated testing, including the use of test management tools and software. * Familiarity with relevant testing standards and regulations. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. * Proficiency in using testing tools, equipment, and software (e.g., LabVIEW, TestStand, MATLAB). * Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in testing and documentation. * Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and effectively. * Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. * Very good command of written and spoken English (German is a plus). ## We offer * Challenging and highly interesting work * Open, collegial corporate culture * Highly motivated and competent team * Flexible working hours and the option to work from home * Good social benefits * Favourable parking options * Very good connection to the public transport (directly located at Brugg railway station)
