**KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA** is searching for a motivated **Technical Assistant** **(m/f/d)** to join our **Genome Editing (GenEd) Trait Discovery** group at our global headquarter in **Einbeck, Germany.**If you are passionate about advancing protein analytics in the field of agricultural sciences and have already acquired hands-on experience in protein-protein interaction technologies, then you will be a perfect candidate to join our growing team. What we offer is a position that supports state-of-the-art in-house protein technology applications with a clear focus and mindset to accelerate GenEd product development at KWS.
This is a **full-time position** with an initial 2-year fixed-term contract, potentially leading to a permanent role. We're excited to fill it as soon as possible!
**Your responsibilities:**
* Design, implementation and documentation of protein-protein interaction experiments
* Perform cloning and genetic transformation of bacteria and plants
* Express and purify proteins using chromatographic system
* Prepare, evaluate and report data in internal meetings
* Contribute to general lab maintenance and team operations
* Support in internal and external stakeholder management
**Bring in your potential:**
* Completed training as BTA, ATA, LTA, bachelor’s or master’s degree in biochemistry or other comparable qualifications
* Know-how and hands-on experience in working with techniques such as affinity, ion-exchange and size-exclusion chromatography is a must have
* Experience with protein-protein interaction analytics will add value to the team
* Knowledge of handling plant material and greenhouse (GH) experiments is required
* Expertise with liquid handler and/or high throughput platforms will be considered a plus
* Experience with LIMS and ELN documentation
* High level of motivation and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
* Excellent team player with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
* Excellent communication skills in English are mandatory and German language skills will be beneficial
