Workshop Team Leader - Upholstery(m/w/x)
Overseeing aircraft cabin interior installation projects and coordinating workshop activities at a global business aviation services provider. Requirements
- Completed or Certified Workshop Technician qualification
- Solid technical knowledge and hands-on experience in workshop or aircraft cabin projects
- Familiarity with aviation authority regulations (FOCA, EASA, FAA) and procedures
- Demonstrated leadership skills and team guidance experience
- Release authorization Level II or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of engineering documentation and technical manual interpretation (CMM, AMM, PR)
- English proficiency (minimum B1, B2 preferred); French and/or German knowledge a plus
- Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and support continuous improvement
- Curiosity, proactivity, and commitment to growth
Tasks
- Oversee workshop and cabin installation projects
- Achieve project budget, safety, quality, and delivery targets
- Coordinate daily workshop activities
- Guide a team of technicians
- Ensure work meets craftsmanship and compliance standards
- Lead and support workshop technicians
- Set standards through hands-on involvement
- Assign tasks and guide execution
- Verify work completion to quality standards
- Foster a collaborative team environment
- Support skill development and individual growth
- Provide daily progress updates
- Act as deputy when required
- Perform complex manufacturing tasks
- Direct complex installation tasks
- Follow technical drawings and project documentation
- Coordinate with suppliers for project execution
- Ensure material availability
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues
- Support modifications and product development
- Ensure proper task planning
- Manage time efficiently
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Book work orders accurately
- Ensure team output quality
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and procedural regulations
- Execute work per approved documentation
