Requirements

  • Full-time student status
  • Interest in Composite Design Engineering
  • Enrolled student in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or comparable degree
  • Knowledge in 3DEXPERIENCE / Catia V5 or other CAD tools
  • Motivation to learn 3DX quickly
  • Basic understanding of FEM and pre-sizing principles
  • Motivation to deepen simulation knowledge
  • Understanding of composite materials and mechanical design
  • Hands-on mentality
  • Enjoyment of physical tinkering and building
  • Fluency in English
  • German language skills as a plus

Tasks

  • Develop innovative ideas for CFRP structures
  • Create detailed 3D models using 3DEXPERIENCE
  • Support the pre-sizing of aircraft components
  • Perform initial FEM calculations for validation
  • Build and assemble prototypes in the workshop
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineering in Stade
  • Coordinate between design, stress, and manufacturing teams

Education

  • Currently in higher education

Languages

  • English – Business Fluent
  • German – Basic
