Working Student QA (Hardware & Driver Testing)(m/w/x)
Testing hardware security modules and drivers with lab equipment. Basic electronics and soldering skills required. Flexible working model, company pension scheme.
Requirements
- Currently studying Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Science, or related technical field
- Basic understanding of hardware development, electronics, PCB design, or circuit-level concepts
- Interest in hardware testing, driver testing, embedded systems, operating systems, and technical problem solving
- Basic hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, or similar)
- Comfortable performing soldering or willing to develop soldering/electronics rework skills
- Desirable: Basic knowledge of PCB designs, electronic components, and hardware debugging
- Plus: Familiarity with Linux, Windows, device drivers, firmware, scripting, or test automation
- Desirable: Basic programming or scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, C, C++, or similar)
- Plus: Experience with 3D printing, prototyping, or mechanical enclosures
- Structured, careful, curious, analytical, and willing to learn
- Enjoyment of hands-on work with hardware, test setups, measurements, and technical systems
- Comfortable communicating in English in an international team
Tasks
- Support setup and execution of hardware and driver tests
- Test hardware-related software components and drivers
- Validate interactions between hardware, firmware, drivers, and OS
- Assist in debugging and root-cause analysis
- Use lab equipment for testing and investigation
- Perform PCB-level analysis and basic circuit tasks
- Conduct soldering, rework, and assembly preparation
- Support hardware development and prototyping
- Create and maintain test setups and documentation
- Work with QA Engineers, Hardware Engineers, and Software Developers
- Contribute to structured and repeatable testing processes
