Requirements

  • Student in Space/Aerospace Engineering or similar
  • Understanding of rocket engine design process
  • Knowledge of physics and fluid dynamics
  • Understanding of rocket component manufacturing methods
  • Understanding of test stand development
  • Proactivity, motivation, flexibility, and teamwork
  • Proficiency in German and English
  • Knowledge of Creo, Matlab, and Ansys
  • Experience with hardware testing and certification
  • Work experience in start-up environments

Tasks

  • Design rocket engine subsystems and components
  • Translate system requirements into component designs
  • Perform system and component-level trade studies
  • Analyze performance, thermal, structural, and fluid results
  • Develop and operate test infrastructure
  • Support engine integration and assembly
  • Assist with test campaigns and anomaly resolution
  • Collaborate with design, analysis, and manufacturing teams
  • Coordinate with suppliers on materials and manufacturability

Education

  • Currently in higher education
