- Experience sending data to cloud via MQTT, REST APIs, or similar
- Basic familiarity with InfluxDB or Grafana for visualisation
- Ability to take ownership of task end-to-end
- Preference for clearly scoped tasks
- Comfortable working at intersection of hardware, firmware, and cloud software
Tasks
- Explore metering solutions for residential clean energy systems
- Assess accuracy, protocol compatibility, form factor, and cost-effectiveness
- Research metering concepts and devices for precise measurements
- Evaluate options for AC and DC energy flow measurement
- Design detailed electrical installation diagrams
- Document full metering architecture
- Coordinate physical installation with installers and stakeholders
- Ensure correct placement and data quality
- Design integration device for live measurements
- Implement and deploy data aggregation and transmission
- Analyze and visualize measurement results
- Validate data quality and system behavior
- Calculate system efficiencies
- Identify offsets and inaccuracies in measurements
