Requirements

  • Master’s student in electrical engineering, electronics, or mechatronics
  • Strong electrical circuits and analysis fundamentals
  • Strong MATLAB and Simulink experience
  • Ability to read and modify Simulink models
  • Understanding of block-diagram modelling and signal flow
  • Reasoning about system behaviour under faults
  • Structured and analytical problem-solving approach
  • Experience with LTspice or similar SPICE tools
  • Familiarity with FMEA concepts and failure analysis
  • Interest in fault injection and faulty system behaviour
  • Experience with simulation-based validation or model-based analysis
  • Experience with medical-device systems or modelling
  • Familiarity with functional safety concepts or standards
  • MATLAB scripting, Python, or similar programming experience

Tasks

  • Develop and analyse system-level models
  • Work with MATLAB and Simulink models
  • Read, extend, validate, and analyse models
  • Build high-trust IC models
  • Model integrated circuits using manufacturer data
  • Use simulation results and internal standards
  • Deliver fault and failure analysis
  • Analyse system behaviour under faults
  • Support FMEA-oriented analysis
  • Identify single-point failures using simulations
  • Work across system-level and circuit-level simulation
  • Use tools like Simulink, LTspice, Siemens Xpedition
  • Interpret waveforms and analyse failure propagation
  • Reason about interactions between components
  • Take ownership of technical problems
  • Contribute to modelling and simulation tasks
  • Propose improvements to workflows
  • Enhance automated analysis processes
