Requirements

  • Enrolled student for at least 12 more months in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Energy Engineering or related field
  • Genuine interest in applying AI/ML to industrial and manufacturing problems
  • Basic understanding of technical drawings, manufacturing processes, or electrical standards
  • Structured, detail-oriented way of working
  • Knowledge of Python and basic data analysis (pandas, SQL)
  • Familiarity with ML concepts - classification, computer vision, or LLMs
  • Exposure to high-voltage equipment, transformers, or similar power products
  • Experience with SAP or PLM/product data
  • Good communication in German and English

Tasks

  • Bridge engineering knowledge with AI use cases
  • Define visual inspection criteria for high-voltage components
  • Label and curate image datasets for visual inspection
  • Validate model outputs against engineering and quality standards
  • Structure technical specifications for AI tools
  • Map electrical/mechanical requirements to AI standards
  • Build and clean training datasets from manufacturing data
  • Translate engineering requirements into actionable AI/BI requirements
  • Test AI tools with real product data
  • Document AI tool performance and issues

Education

  • Currently in higher education
