Working Student in the field of Aircraft Design Software Development(m/w/x)
Developing modular aircraft design software using CPACS and Python, with LLM integration. Python or OOP skills required. Flexible hours, subsidized canteen.
Requirements
- Enrolled student in Aerospace Engineering, Computational Science and Engineering, or Computational Mechanics with technical background or related field
- Excellent software development skills (preferably Python or object-oriented languages)
- Experience in code documentation, refactoring, and testing
- Familiarity with manipulating XML files (e.g., with Python)
- Experience using Numpy and Scipy (knowledge of Numba and JIT compilers is a plus)
- Acquired skills in 3D geometry creation and manipulation libraries is a big plus
- Basic understanding of aircraft design methods and methodologies is beneficial
- Knowledge of machine learning and LLM architectures is advantageous
- Thrive in a connected team environment and eagerness to improve
- Work well independently with high autonomy
- High-level English, spoken and written
Tasks
- Participate in software development for modular, CPACS-based aircraft design environment
- Improve and maintain existing code
- Test and write new code based on user requirements
- Assist in developing and using self-hosted large language models
- Work on-site at location near Munich
