Surface finishing methods for aerospace engines, interpreting measurement results and specifying fatigue testing. Bachelor's degree in engineering and CAD skills preferred. Flexible working arrangements, company car for private use.
Requirements
- English or German language equivalent to CEFR B1
- Bachelor in Engineering (Mechanical, Machine Design, Aeronautical, Manufacturing preferred)
- Good skill with CAD modelling (NX preferred)
- Passion for Additive Manufacturing design and manufacturing
- Experience with Ansys Workbench preferred
Tasks
- Study production-appropriate surface finishing methods
- Review conventional and AM surface finishing techniques
- Interpret geometric and surface roughness measurement results
- Specify and interpret fatigue and tensile testing
- Produce and present interim study progress reports
- Implement surface finish dependent material strength allowables into FE lifing analysis (optional)
