- Experience troubleshooting complex vehicle systems (HV, hybrid drivetrains, CAN/LIN, HVAC, cooling, chassis, suspension)
- Confidence with embedded modules, sensor stacks, advanced vehicle or autonomous system hardware
- Comfortable operating and troubleshooting Linux-based systems
- Technical trade school certificate or Associate Degree in automotive repair or related field
- ASE certification and/or manufacturer certification (plus)
- Reliability, proactivity, hands-on attitude
- Willingness to support overtime, holidays, or shifting fleet needs
Tasks
- Build, integrate, configure, and commission ROVs and telestations.
- Integrate vehicle and telestation hardware.
- Bring up vehicle and telestation systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle and telestation systems.
- Validate vehicle and telestation systems.
- Maintain, repair, retrofit, and upgrade Vay's fleets.
- Support pre-series builds and prototype programs.
- Install and validate new hardware components.
- Install and validate system revisions.
- Resolve complex mechanical, electrical, software, and system issues in workshop and field.
- Document build configurations and repair actions in internal systems.
- Document deviations and test results in internal systems.
- Contribute to stronger technical documentation.
- Contribute to repeatable processes.
- Support workshop operations.
- Ensure tooling readiness.
- Manage spare parts.
- Ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain housekeeping standards.
- Collaborate with production engineering, quality, fleet, and R&D teams.
- Improve manufacturability and reliability.
- Improve serviceability and system robustness.
