Requirements
- University degree in Human Factors Engineering, HCI, Psychology, Interaction Design, or related field
- 2-4 years experience in usability engineering or strong foundational knowledge
- Hands-on experience with qualitative research and insight synthesis
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Confidence in clinical environments and collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
- Fluent English and German
- Familiarity with medical-device usability standards (e.g., IEC 62366)
- Experience in risk management
- Basic wireframing skills
Tasks
- Evaluate usability
- Manage use-related risks
- Apply usability methods throughout development
- Support and guide product teams on usability
- Plan, conduct, and analyze user research with clinical stakeholders
- Define and refine user requirements
- Translate requirements into product concepts with UX designers
- Ensure compliance with usability standards
- Advocate for user needs
- Communicate usability insights to stakeholders
- Collaborate with Usability Engineers on multiple projects
- Improve UX standards, research methods, and usability practices
