Requirements

  • Several years experience as trader in energy markets
  • Experience in BESS, flexibility trading, or comparable markets
  • Experience in banks, insurance, crypto welcome
  • Strong understanding of option structures
  • Strong understanding of algorithmic trading
  • Strong understanding of multi-market optimisation
  • Solid Python coding skills
  • Strong quantitative mindset
  • Experience in backtesting
  • Experience in data analysis
  • Thinking in distributions
  • Clear P&L ownership
  • Genuine risk awareness

Tasks

  • Develop and refine algorithmic bidding strategies
  • Live-steer algorithmic bidding strategies
  • Execute automated trades in Day-Ahead markets
  • Execute automated trades in Intraday markets
  • Execute automated trades in reserve markets (FCR, aFRR, mFRR)
  • Execute automated trades in other flex markets
  • Manage positions continuously
  • Optimize State of Charge (SoC)
  • Perform aggregation/disaggregation
  • Execute cross-market arbitrage
  • Monitor strategies
  • Adapt strategies to market regimes
  • Adapt strategies to price signals
  • Adapt strategies to asset availability
  • Work with Quants on backtesting
  • Work with Analysts on backtesting
  • Work with the Tech team on backtesting
  • Work with Quants on research
  • Work with Analysts on research
  • Work with the Tech team on research
  • Work with Quants on tool deployment
  • Work with Analysts on tool deployment
  • Work with the Tech team on tool deployment
  • Contribute to Trading Position Management System development
  • Advance automated trading environment

Education
