Requirements

  • Degree in mechanical, process, environmental engineering or comparable field
  • Very good/good written/spoken German (A level) and/or English (B level)
  • Knowledge of combustion and measurement technology

  • Experience with test benches

Tasks

  • Investigate 100 kW ammonia and hydrogen burners in a combustion chamber
  • Conduct comprehensive exhaust gas investigations
  • Analyze emission behavior under realistic operating conditions
  • Analyze combustion stability under realistic operating conditions
  • Analyze efficiency under realistic operating conditions
  • Conduct trial operation of the 100 kW test rig
  • Plan structured measurement series on load, air ratio, and fuel mixtures
  • Implement structured measurement series on load, air ratio, and fuel mixtures
  • Record NOx, NH3 slip, and CO emissions
  • Evaluate NOx, NH3 slip, and CO emissions
