Planning and supervising maintenance for industrial cooling and ventilation systems at CERN. CMMS system and fluid handling permit experience required. 30 days paid leave, CERN Pension Fund membership.

Requirements

  • Higher technical diploma or equivalent experience in Refrigeration/Electromechanics
  • Fluid handling permit or equivalent (advantageous)
  • Experience in maintenance, operation, installation of cooling, ventilation, industrial systems
  • Experience in technical coordination of external contractors
  • Experience with CMMS tools
  • Experience in low-voltage electrical systems
  • Initial experience in compressed air systems
  • Experience in operation and maintenance of refrigeration systems
  • Demonstrated experience in installation works
  • Operation and maintenance of HVAC plants and networks
  • Design, construction, operation, maintenance of detector cooling systems
  • Experience in work site supervision and technical supervisor of contractors (advantageous)
  • Achieving results and delivering high quality work
  • Effective communication of opinions and ideas
  • Flexibility and ability to handle ambiguity
  • Problem-solving and contingency planning
  • Teamwork and active participation
  • Spoken and written English, commitment to learn French

Tasks

  • Plan maintenance activities using CMMS system
  • Coordinate maintenance and installation work
  • Supervise and check preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Perform operation activities for cooling and ventilation systems
  • Liaise with clients on equipment matters
  • Propose solutions for modification and renovation
  • Technically coordinate contractors’ activities
  • Contribute to project design and commissioning
  • Update and maintain technical documentation
  • Ensure compliance with safety rules
  • Report on activity progress, schedule, and costs

  • Vocational certification
