Technician, Field Service Technical Support(m/w/x)

Requirements
- Two-year associate degree in electro-mechanical, electrical design, or related field with 5 years of machine troubleshooting experience, or high school diploma with 7 years of machine troubleshooting experience
- Expertise in controls and machine processes for print equipment
- Knowledge or skills on flexographic printing presses (advantageous)
- Proficiency in Rockwell and Indramat software
- Knowledge of Rockwell and Indramat hardware
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills, independent issue resolution
- Excellent customer service skills, inquiry management, prioritization
- Self-motivation and strong decision-making capabilities
- Proficiency in mechanical, pneumatic, and control systems
- Ability to travel several weeks per year
Tasks
- Provide high-level support for one product line.
- Offer basic support for additional product lines.
- Act as primary customer and technical service representative.
- Serve as primary contact for second shift requests.
- Triage incoming customer calls.
- Route parts inquiries to the parts department.
- Escalate issues to the next shift.
- Provide direct technical support as needed.
- Communicate with customers to resolve equipment issues.
- Respond urgently to unplanned customer issues.
- Provide breakdown support for component replacements.
- Load HMIs, drives, and PLCs during replacements.
- Support 'on the go' programming changes.
- Remotely troubleshoot PLCs, drives, and devices.
- Document customer issues and resolutions in asset management.
- Create equipment history files for future troubleshooting.
- Utilize ERP system to find parts.
- Arrange part shipments to customers outside business hours.
- Support teams and customers with controls expertise.
- Review customer data and react to alarms.
- Investigate customer downtime.
- Develop insights and provide actions for customers.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Support proactive process improvement results.
- Ensure consistency and standardization of best practices.
- Proactively communicate with engineering teams.
- Recommend machine changes to engineering.
- Convey customer feedback to engineering.
- Evaluate, implement, and test new technology.
- Create and sustain a safe work environment.
- Perform other assigned duties.
