- Define and own the multi-year technical and asset strategy
- Translate objectives into an executable technology roadmap
- Establish the technology blueprint for mill evolution
- Lead end-to-end CAPEX portfolio management
- Prioritize and sequence CAPEX investments
- Technically validate CAPEX investments across mills
- Ensure capital allocation maximizes project value
- Develop and challenge investment business cases
- Ensure technical soundness and lifecycle value
- Ensure risk transparency in business cases
- Define and formalize investment project execution
- Establish governance models for projects
- Define risk assessment standards for projects
- Develop decision frameworks for projects
- Drive standardization of technologies, suppliers, and equipment
- Implement uniform technical documentation and standards
- Implement uniform commissioning procedures for CAPEX projects
- Oversee technical risk assessment and management
- Evaluate and introduce new and emerging technologies
- Ensure innovation is purpose-driven and value-creating
- Serve as the primary technical authority for mill operations
- Advise and support Directors on technical improvements
- Advise and support Directors on technical decision-making
- Act as interface between Group Technical and Directors
- Shape the long-term technical capability agenda
- Define technical competency models and pathways
- Coach technical specialists to foster judgment and collaboration
