You will drive the tax strategy in Germany by managing compliance, audits, and M&A transactions while ensuring global operations remain efficient through expert advisory and risk management.

Requirements

  • 4-8 years tax practice experience in Germany
  • Experience in Big Four, law firm, or in-house tax (plus)
  • Legal, business administration, or Finance degree
  • Post-graduate studies in Tax matters (plus)
  • Fluency in German and English
  • Well-rounded MS Office and SAP skills
  • Good knowledge of German tax system
  • Knowledge of European and international Tax Law (plus)
  • Hands-on, open, creative, and team-oriented
  • Finance or accounting skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills
  • Innovative, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
  • Sound organizational skills and process-driven mentality
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently

Tasks

  • Secure tax compliance for German entities
  • Prepare and submit direct and indirect taxes
  • Coordinate internal teams and external service providers
  • Participate in GAAP and IFRS closings
  • Monitor tax accounting and reporting activities
  • Review documents for tax-relevant content
  • Lead and plan tax audits and litigations
  • Evaluate tax contingencies and opportunities
  • Provide strategic planning and tax advice
  • Offer technical support to group management
  • Support initiatives for tax rate sustainability
  • Monitor legislative changes and court decisions
  • Analyze tax for cross-border transactions
  • Optimize international tax structuring
  • Prepare local transfer pricing documentation
  • Manage tax compliance for foreign entities
  • Oversee tax matters for M&A transactions
  • Conduct tax due diligence and document reviews
