Requirements
- PhD or Master’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or comparable technical field, or equivalent qualification with strong systems and controls expertise
- Extensive professional experience in BMS algorithm and system development in automotive or comparable environment
- Strong expertise in model-based software development, simulation, and control algorithms (e.g. MATLAB/Simulink)
- Strong knowledge of estimator and observer-based control methods (e.g. for state-of-health or state-of-charge algorithms)
- Experience in complex system modeling and simulation
- High autonomy and technical accountability in complex development contexts
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, structured and solution-oriented thinking
- Excellent communication skills and experience in functional leadership and coordination of interdisciplinary teams
Tasks
- Lead technical reviews and release decisions for algorithms
- Represent algorithms and system solutions to stakeholders
- Serve as subject matter expert for complex algorithm development
- Develop and integrate diagnostic, state estimation, and control algorithms
- Contribute to product development and change management
- Assess technical impacts and coordinate changes
- Develop and improve algorithm-related processes and standards
- Execute complex analyses and derive corrective measures
- Coordinate with cross-functional and international teams
- Prepare and document system-level results and recommendations
