Requirements

  • PhD or Master’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or comparable technical field, or equivalent qualification with strong systems and controls expertise
  • Extensive professional experience in BMS algorithm and system development in automotive or comparable environment
  • Strong expertise in model-based software development, simulation, and control algorithms (e.g. MATLAB/Simulink)
  • Strong knowledge of estimator and observer-based control methods (e.g. for state-of-health or state-of-charge algorithms)
  • Experience in complex system modeling and simulation
  • High autonomy and technical accountability in complex development contexts
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills, structured and solution-oriented thinking
  • Excellent communication skills and experience in functional leadership and coordination of interdisciplinary teams

Tasks

  • Lead technical reviews and release decisions for algorithms
  • Represent algorithms and system solutions to stakeholders
  • Serve as subject matter expert for complex algorithm development
  • Develop and integrate diagnostic, state estimation, and control algorithms
  • Contribute to product development and change management
  • Assess technical impacts and coordinate changes
  • Develop and improve algorithm-related processes and standards
  • Execute complex analyses and derive corrective measures
  • Coordinate with cross-functional and international teams
  • Prepare and document system-level results and recommendations
