Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineer - Metals(m/w/x)

Description

You will bridge the gap between design and production by managing technical supplier relationships and industrial processes to ensure complex orbital vehicle components meet flight standards.

Requirements

• •Degree in Aerospace, Material, Mechanical engineering or related
• •Experience in manufacturing space-graded metallic components
• •Knowledge of high-performance alloys and manufacturing methods
• •Experience in welded metallic structures and inspection
• •Familiarity with spacecraft structures or re-entry hardware
• •Problem-solving, attention to detail, and organization
• •Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• •Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Tasks

• •Collaborate with mechanical and design units to manufacture complex metallic structures
• •Partner with product assurance and procurement to control product quality
• •Manage technical exchanges with suppliers regarding metallic structural parts
• •Act as a technical liaison to resolve manufacturing issues promptly
• •Monitor and improve supplier industrial processes to meet requirements
• •Supervise supplier development roadmaps from TRL 4-5 through TRL 9
• •Monitor supplier quality control plans, NDT, and material certifications
• •Coordinate with engineering and suppliers to meet flight model schedules
• •Support suppliers in optimizing machining, bending, and additive manufacturing
• •Assist procurement and engineering during technical supplier discussions
• •Prepare documentation for TRL, PDR, CDR, QR, and MRR reviews
• •Generate technical reports and presentations for stakeholders
