Requirements

  • Study in process engineering, chemical engineering, or technical/scientific degree
  • Knowledge in process engineering, ideally thermodynamics and reaction engineering
  • Experience with chemical process simulation advantageous
  • Independent and committed work ethic
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Confident German or English communication skills

Tasks

  • Work in a team of students and engineers
  • Conduct literature research on reaction and process engineering
  • Familiarize yourself with Matlab or Aspen Plus software
  • Model reaction, distillation, and absorption processes
  • Simulate production of hydrogen carriers and sustainable fuels
  • Evaluate processes based on simulation results
  • Consider economic aspects (optional)
  • Present results to the group
  • Summarize findings in final thesis (optional)
