Requirements

  • Studies in mechatronics, microsystems engineering, computer science or a related field
  • Experience in programming, ideally Python (e.g., for data analysis with pandas)
  • Confidence in working with Linux systems (shell/terminal)
  • Advantageous knowledge of microcontroller programming, Modbus, LoRaWAN, remote sensing, web APIs, databases and statistical analysis
  • Ideal experience with PostgreSQL, Git and TimescaleDB
  • High commitment to team contribution and goal achievement
  • Perseverance and drive for high-quality results
  • Ability to plan tasks independently, proactively set priorities, and manage time effectively
  • Good German language skills (at least B1 level)

Tasks

  • Support detailed research on microclimate, soil, crop, and PV performance parameters at various sites.
  • Collect data from sensors.
  • Preprocess collected data.
  • Analyze collected data.
  • Assist in developing, configuring, and installing monitoring systems for Agri-PV plants.
  • Maintain the PostgreSQL database.
  • Further develop the dashboard using Dash, Python, and Grafana.
  • Add missing features to the dashboard.
  • Automate deployment using GitLab.
  • Support project management with organizational tasks.

  • Currently in higher education
