Requirements
- Experience in top-tier private practice
- Prior in-house experience at a leading financial institution
- Experience within the Markets Division
- Extensive experience in Structured Products
- Experience with retail investors in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria
- Excellent drafting skills of Structured Products documentation
- Fluency in German language
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Strong commercial acumen
- Interest in performance drivers and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication skills for technical analysis
- Ability to convey analysis clearly to legal and non-legal audiences
- Assessment on key critical skills relevant for success
Tasks
- Provide legal advice to business units in the Markets division
- Support compliance with laws, rules, and regulations
- Develop and implement best practice legal strategies
- Create and review legal documents for compliance
- Maintain and update template legal documentation
- Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws
- Develop and deliver training programs on legal requirements
- Identify and communicate applicable laws and regulations
- Ensure legal requirements are reflected in policies and controls
- Contribute to strategy and make recommendations for change
- Plan resources, budgets, and policies for the department
- Manage team performance and contribute to pay decisions
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors to foster a thriving environment
- Advise stakeholders on functional and cross-functional impacts
- Manage and mitigate risks in support of governance
- Collaborate with other areas for business-aligned support
- Create solutions through sophisticated analytical thought
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Engage with regulatory authorities and external law firms
- Support automation and manual drafting teams
