Stress Engineer(m/w/x)
Static calculations and lifecycle analysis for metallic components in aeronautical environments. Initial aviation industry experience and proficiency in structural mechanics required. Mobile working, flexible hours, 30 days holiday.
Requirements
- Relevant degree (up to 4 years) in aeronautical/mechanical engineering or comparable, or extensive vocational training with additional qualifications
- Knowledge and experience in areas of responsibility
- Initial experience as stress engineer in aviation industry
- Extensive proficiency in structural mechanics (strength and stiffness of metallic structures)
- Deep knowledge in standard analytical methods (HSB, Bruhn, ESDU, Roark & Young)
- Expert use of FE tools (Hypermesh, Optistruct, NASTRAN, ABAQUS)
- Proven experience with structural and lifetime analysis of complex components
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
- Willingness for occasional business trips
Tasks
- Perform static calculations and lifecycle analysis for metallic components
- Use analytical methods and FE analysis in aeronautical environments
- Evaluate quality reports and construction deviations
- Ensure structural integrity
- Provide evidence of repairs and changes in production
- Answer customer questions
- Investigate operational occurrences and incidents
- Interface with international project teams
- Collaborate with adjacent technical departments
- Prepare documentation
- Present work results to internal and external stakeholders
