Requirements
- 5+ years experience in robotics
- Experience in autonomous driving or safety-/mission-critical vehicle systems
- Strong experience in compute and sensor system integration
- Proven track record designing vehicle wiring harnesses
- Experience with rapid prototyping tools and 3D printing
- Experience with Solidworks
- Experience with CAN, diagnostics basics, and Automotive Ethernet (T1) networks
- Comfortable designing and debugging vehicle network configurations
- Practical experience with HIL/breadboard setups and test instrumentation
- Experience integrating and validating GNSS and cellular connectivity
- Familiarity with satellite connectivity and/or tactical communications
- Strong integration and test mindset
- Hands-on mentality and willingness to jump into builds
- Basic software/tooling skills: Python scripting and Vector tooling
- Experience with ruggedized platforms and harsh environments
- Familiarity with functional safety concepts
- Experience with supplier management and test houses
Tasks
- Define system architecture and select components
- Integrate compute and sensor components into vehicle platforms
- Plan and execute hardware bring-up and commissioning
- Perform mechanical and electrical integration and troubleshooting
- Lead hardware validation plans and execute test campaigns
- Drive design improvements through data analysis
- Design and evolve harnesses for production-grade solutions
- Build and commission breadboards and Hardware-in-the-Loop setups
- Design and validate vehicle network architectures using CAN and Automotive Ethernet
- Manage vehicle internal network configuration and interfaces
- Specify and integrate external network configurations
- Execute system-level integration and define acceptance criteria
- Support field testing with fast feedback loops
- Assist with harness builds and vehicle integration in the workshop
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical direction
