Tasks
- Carry out planned preventive and reactive maintenance tasks
- Perform regular site inspections and walkthroughs
- Log findings and take corrective action
- Manage relationships with local contractors and service providers
- Supervise on-site contractor activities
- Coordinate and oversee building plant and equipment servicing
- Manage facilities consumables, spare parts, and maintenance materials
- Support space planning and minor refurbishment projects
- Monitor and report on utilities consumption
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
- Ensure communal areas are clean and well-maintained
- Act as the local EHS contact
- Implement and maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems
- Conduct routine EHS inspections and workplace assessments
- Support site-specific risk assessments
- Assist with accident and incident investigations
- Coordinate EHS toolbox talks and training
- Monitor waste management compliance
- Support environmental monitoring activities
- Maintain and inspect first aid and fire safety equipment
- Liaise with safety representatives and works councils
- Ensure compliance with German legislation
- Maintain the site legal compliance register
- Ensure correct signage and safety notices are displayed
- Prepare documentation for regulatory inspections
- Manage hazardous substances
- Support internal and external audits
- Maintain EHS documentation and records
- Participate in management system reviews
- Raise non-conformances and improvement suggestions
- Provide regular updates to UK-based Sr. Facilities and EHS Manager
- Communicate effectively with site employees and local authorities
- Attend team meetings and EHS reviews
- Support colleagues at other European sites
