- Understanding how to evaluate model performance holistically
- Experience forecasting with limited historical data using proxy data
- Experience forecasting with trend smoothing
- Proven ability to manage demand and supply risks
- Proposing risk mitigations (buffers, caps, swaps)
- Communicating complex trade-offs to senior stakeholders
- Comfortable with project tools like JIRA/Confluence
- Managing backlogs and improvement roadmaps
- Strong communication skills for presenting forecast insights
- Explaining variance drivers clearly
- Articulating trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- Ensuring alignment across functions
- Diverse experiences and willingness to learn
Tasks
- Write and maintain SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and transformation.
- Develop and refine forecasting models using Python and statistical techniques.
- Design dashboards and automated reports for stakeholder self-service access.
- Collaborate with forecast engineers to build scalable data pipelines.
- Create and run scenario simulations to stress-test operational capacity.
- Generate and validate daily and weekly demand plans for European markets.
- Monitor trends, seasonality, and promotional impacts on demand.
- Proactively flag and communicate forecast adjustments to the supply chain.
- Implement data validation and QA checks to ensure forecast reliability.
- Drive cross-functional alignment in the weekly S&OP planning cycle.
- Partner with Marketing to integrate growth campaigns into demand forecasts.
- Diagnose root causes of forecast deviations and deliver actionable insights.
