Requirements

  • Advanced degree in finance, economics, business administration, or related field
  • Business administration or financial qualification
  • Experience in health financing, innovative finance, large financing initiatives, and financing instruments in global health or development contexts
  • Experience in designing and managing financing mechanisms or investment tools in a health context
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, project management, and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-disciplinary projects
  • Evidence of successfully managing projects highlighting project management skills and capabilities
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and ability to build trustful relationships and influence stakeholders
  • At least five years of relevant post-university work experience
  • Understanding of procurement and supply chain dynamics in low- and middle-income countries
  • Familiarity with the Global Fund business model and Global Fund policies and processes
  • Experience in public health and market shaping for health products
  • Excellent knowledge of English and preferably good working knowledge of French

Tasks

  • Develop innovative access financing models
  • Drive the evolution of the Access Fund
  • Conduct feasibility assessments for new financing concepts
  • Create materials and recommendations for executive audiences
  • Ensure alignment with programmatic and procurement objectives
  • Manage the rollout of access financing mechanisms
  • Collaborate to integrate financing tools into grant processes
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders for alignment
  • Represent Supply Operations in technical working groups
  • Act as a focal point for access financing solutions
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and donor agreements
  • Identify financial and operational risks in financing tools
  • Collaborate on risk mitigation actions
  • Drive continuous improvement of financing processes
