Spatial AI Research Engineer/Scientist(m/w/x)
Developing active perception systems and spatial reasoning modules for intelligent agents at global ICT solutions provider. M.S. or Ph.D. in a quantitative field and experience with large-scale spatial cognition agents required. Language courses in German and Mandarin available.
Requirements
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related quantitative field
- Experience with models for large-scale spatial cognition agents, world model, or integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) with sensory inputs
- Solid theoretical and practical experience with modern deep learning frameworks
- Strong foundation in linear algebra, probability, and multi-view geometry
- Experience with simulation tools like Unity/Unreal Engine, Isaac Sim, or Habitat
- Fluency in written and spoken English
Tasks
- Lead research and design of Spatial AI models
- Implement novel algorithms for generative mapping
- Develop active perception systems
- Enhance spatial memory and cognition models
- Create spatial reasoning modules for intelligent agents
- Enable robotic systems to navigate and manipulate objects
- Plan complex tasks in dynamic environments
- Write efficient, well-documented code in Python and C++/Rust
- Manage and analyze large datasets like point clouds and 3D meshes
- Utilize simulators for algorithm testing and optimization
- Collaborate with ML engineers and roboticists
- Transition research prototypes into production-ready systems
- Contribute to technical reports and stay updated on academic research
- Prepare work for potential publication or patent filing
