Software Engineer - Robotics Research Tooling & Reliability(m/w/x)

Requirements

• Experience building production-quality backend services that maintain reliability under real load
• Hands-on experience designing integration and E2E test suites
• Debugging instinct across the full stack
• Track record of building internal tooling adopted by technical users
• Evidence of learning from usage patterns
• Working experience with a modern frontend framework
• Experience building data-intensive interfaces (dataset browsers, real-time dashboards, or annotation tools)
• Practice of maintaining clear, current documentation

Tasks

• Develop dataset viewers, training dashboards, and benchmark viewers.
• Design and maintain user workflow test suites.
• Prevent regressions from reaching production.
• Run stress tests under realistic lab constraints.
• Test tooling with messy data and constrained compute.
• Ensure graceful tooling degradation.
• Maintain a reference test suite.
• Perform nightly regression runs.
• Establish the canonical data-to-training-to-inference workflow.
• Prevent workflow drift.
• Perform reliability checks for critical demos.
• Prevent regressions during evaluations.
• Ensure toolchain stability during time-sensitive events.
