Requirements
- Software engineering background, preferably in manufacturing or logistics systems, PLC or robot programming, or software system operations
- Practical experience in modern software development (infrastructure, observability, testing, deployment pipelines, QA, scaling)
- Experience in companies with strong operational cultures, ideally logistics or manufacturing, understanding commercial impact of downtime
- Familiarity with monitoring and alerting for production systems
- Willingness to travel to Richen manufacturing site and within Germany and Austria for team events
Tasks
- Collaborate in a product team for digital-to-physical manufacturing
- Integrate and coordinate PLC, robot, and 3rd-party systems
- Own and manage the entire software development lifecycle
- Solve problems efficiently and assume responsibility for under-attended topics
- Write and test software both independently and in pair programming
- Deploy and roll out changes to live systems
- Operate and troubleshoot software during working hours
- Design and build software solutions for logistics and manufacturing
- Work in a hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure environment
- Manage complex software deployments at scale
- Monitor, maintain, and improve software uptime and efficiency
- Apply PLC or robot programming experience to flexible manufacturing
- Bridge digital product delivery with physical logistics and manufacturing
- Ensure alignment and integration of digital and physical systems
