- 3+ years professional software development experience
- Strong foundation in C++
- Hands-on experience developing Rust applications

- Understand Rust ownership and concurrency
- Solid understanding of parallel programming
- Solid understanding of concurrent programming
- Apply parallel/concurrent patterns safely and efficiently
- Experience developing software on Linux
- Experience deploying software on Linux
- Familiarity with Linux system-level APIs
- Familiarity with Linux system-level tooling
- Methodical approach to performance
- Profile before optimizing
- Understand cost of memory, threads, I/O
- B.Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
- Equivalent practical experience
- Legal eligibility to work in firearms environment
Tasks
- Design and develop high-performance C++ applications
- Maintain Dedrone's detection and tracking platform
- Migrate existing C++ components to Rust
- Optimize parallel processing pipelines on Linux
- Ensure efficient use of multi-core hardware
- Collaborate in code reviews and architecture discussions
- Conduct knowledge sharing sessions
- Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks
- Address memory issues and concurrency bugs
- Participate in defining engineering standards
- Evolve team tooling and language stack
