Requirements

  • •Ability to write legible, maintainable, and performant frontend code
  • •Experience with APIs and server-client communication like REST and GraphQL
  • •Experience with running a live production software
  • •Passion for current development best practices, libraries, and frameworks
  • •Comfort with unfamiliar backends and exposure to languages like Rust
  • •Good communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing
  • •Enjoyment of collaborating with others, including code reviews and pair programming
  • •Comfort with asynchronous work, including writing PRs and RFCs
  • •Desire to improve self, peers, and workplace culture over time
  • •Belief in ethical considerations as part of engineering
  • •Significant recent experience with React
  • •Familiarity with backend interface tools like REST, GraphQL, gRPC/Protocol Buffers
  • •Established understanding of modern JS bundlers, such as Vite
  • •Experience with styling utility-class libraries such as TailwindCSS
  • •Data visualization expertise, e.g., D3.js, custom charting, or complex dashboard design
  • •Background in designing software for aerospace, defense, or AI end users

Work Experience

Tasks

  • •Review code contributions and proposals
  • •Own the user interface from wireframes to production-ready code
  • •Propose and implement new features and tooling
  • •Establish and evolve the React component library
  • •Collaborate with teams and share knowledge within the frontend community
  • •Mentor colleagues and support the interviewing pipeline
  • •Share technical knowledge through tech talks and learning groups
  • •Connect with backend systems and improve integrations
  • •Present work at weekly demo sessions
