Software Engineer - Cabin & Cargo Electronics(m/w/x)

Requirements
- University degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or comparable field
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in embedded software development
- Strong proficiency in C and/or C++
- Experience with Python or Java
- Proven experience developing for embedded Linux, bare-metal, or RTOS environments
- Experience in working on tools like DOORS, ClearCase and ClearQuest
- Hands-on experience in software development for camera systems or image sensors
- Experience in video processing, encoding/decoding, and streaming protocols
- Experience in developing drivers for hardware interfaces
- Solid understanding of safety-critical development lifecycles
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies and tools
- Familiarity with Labgrid
- Excellent communication skills in English
Tasks
- Design and develop safety-critical embedded software for aircraft systems using C and C++
- Develop software for camera control, video processing, and data streaming in aircraft environments
- Create low-level drivers and board support packages for embedded Linux and Real-Time Operating Systems
- Define and document software requirements, architecture, and detailed designs based on specifications
- Implement and execute comprehensive software test cases and procedures for reliability and compliance
- Manage full software lifecycle documentation according to aviation standards (DO-178C)
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to integrate software with hardware and solve technical challenges
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes, tools, and team practices
