Software Engineer – Autonomous Driving(m/w/x)
Developing C/C++ planning and control algorithms for NVIDIA's autonomous driving software stack. Minimum 2 years of real-time embedded control systems experience required. 4-day work week, company car for private use.
Requirements
- Solid software development skills (C/C++)
- Prior knowledge of trajectory planning, vehicle control, vehicle ECU, Drive-by-Wire systems, in-vehicle network, and autonomous vehicles
- BS, MS, or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Cybernetics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Knowledge and hands-on application of advanced control theories (classical control, nonlinear control, MPC, optimal control)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in C/C++ software development for real-time embedded control systems (e.g., vehicle ECU systems)
- Understanding of test and verification methodologies for automotive software; know-how in writing unit and system level tests
- Good communication and organization skills, logical problem-solving, good time management and task prioritization
- Proactive 'can do' attitude and ability to work with minimum supervision
- Willingness to travel around Europe to support NVIDIA partners
- Experience as control software engineer at automotive Tier 1 or OEM
- Experience in NCAP and ADAS functions testing and validation
- Understanding of vehicle architecture and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
- Driving experience in Europe, ideally certified test driver
Tasks
- Support design and development of advanced automotive control algorithms
- Adapt NVIDIA’s autonomous driving software stack to meet vehicle dynamics KPIs
- Integrate and adapt NVIDIA's in-vehicle solutions for different platforms
- Test and tune controller performance across various vehicle types and environments
- Debug controller issues in test campaigns and simulations
- Provide feedback on system architecture, failure modes, and redundancy
- Collaborate with architecture, tools, and system software teams
- Influence design of next-generation architectures and software platforms
- Investigate impact on application performance and development productivity
