Requirements
- BFA, BS, or equivalent in Design, HCI, or related field
- 5+ years product design experience
- Experience designing operator-facing or operations tooling
- Portfolio showing range in interfaces, data, workflows
- Ability to ship 0→1 products without design system
- Experience establishing design standards or systems
- Exceptional craft in interaction, visual, information architecture
- Communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience designing for teleoperations or monitoring products
- Background in safety-critical domains
- Experience as first designer or early hire
- Designing for users under pressure or load
- Comfort working with front-end engineers
- Understanding of designing confidence/uncertainty interfaces
- Familiarity with airline or fleet operations environments
Tasks
- Define design vision and standards for AGSE Service
- Establish design principles, patterns, and component library
- Set standards for representing autonomy state, system confidence, and exceptions
- Partner with Engineering on front-end implementation standards
- Review and maintain design quality across the product organization
- Lead hands-on design for Fleet Operations products
- Design end-to-end remote assistance, dispatch, and fleet monitoring tools
- Design for high-stakes, real-time operator workflows
- Translate operator and customer needs into intuitive interfaces
- Design airline and airport-facing surfaces of AGSE Service
- Create operational dashboards, performance reporting, and SLA visibility tools
- Ensure coherent visual and interaction language across products
- Collaborate with Product, Commercial, and Operations teams
- Conduct user research with airline/airport customers and operators
- Establish lightweight research practices
- Translate research findings into design decisions and product requirements
