Description

In this role as a Senior Underwriter on the EMEA Energy team, you will manage energy risk portfolios, develop new business, and negotiate policy terms while building strong relationships with clients and brokers. Your expertise will help shape strategies around industry trends and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

• •Many years of experience in the Energy property insurance market
• •Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
• •Technical knowledge of the energy space including Downstream, Chemical, Power, Mining and Renewables
• •Outcome focused, self-motivated, flexible and enthusiastic
• •Ability to rapidly evaluate, prioritize and select submissions to be underwritten
• •Ability to analyze policy wordings, including manuscript forms
• •Demonstrated knowledge of current market conditions and trends
• •Relationships with tier 1 and 2 brokers and ability to develop new relationships
• •Demonstrated sales, marketing, and relationship building experience
• •Strong verbal and written communication skills
• •Ability to work in a fast-paced environment making quick decisions
• •Willingness to travel 25% of the time

Tasks

• •Underwrite and manage energy risk portfolios

• •Communicate value propositions to brokers and clients
• •Manage producer and client relationships in assigned territory

• •Establish relationships with zonal leadership
• •Collaborate with peers and the CUO office for market consistency
• •Communicate portfolio profitability to internal stakeholders
• •Identify industry trends and develop strategies
• •Participate in special underwriting projects
• •Ensure compliance with governance and regulatory standards
