- Fluent German
- Minimum 8 years German tax experience
- Technical expertise in corporate tax, trade tax, VAT, WHT, transfer pricing
- Experience managing German tax audits and interacting with tax authorities
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, independent work
- Degree in Tax, Law, Accounting, Economics, or Business
- Steuerberater or Diplom‑Finanzwirt qualification
- Experience with Pillar Two, tax governance, tax technology/ERP systems (IFS)
- Experience in multinational environments and cross‑border transactions
Tasks
- Manage German corporate income tax and trade tax filings
- Coordinate with external tax advisors
- Oversee German VAT compliance
- Ensure monthly VAT filings and ERP data accuracy
- Handle German withholding tax
- Maintain a robust tax compliance calendar
- Act as primary contact for German tax authorities
- Lead responses to tax audits and inquiries
- Prepare and maintain German transfer pricing documentation (Local File)
- Support Master File coordination
- Support transfer pricing analyses and audits
- Collaborate on APAs and MAPs with Group Tax
- Provide German tax data and analysis for Pillar Two
- Support IFRS tax accounting (IAS 12 / IFRIC 23)
- Ensure consistency between tax compliance, accounting, and transfer pricing
- Monitor German tax law developments
- Advise business and finance teams on tax implications
- Improve German tax processes and controls
- Enhance tax documentation and technology
- Implement ERP enhancements
