(Senior) Systems Architect - Autonomous Driving(m/w/x)
Defining and developing next-gen AD ECUs for autonomous driving solutions. Automotive E/E technical ownership and supplier collaboration required. Hybrid work, remote from outside Germany, home office allowance.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in electronic design and architecture assessment

- Deep knowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262)
- University degree in electronics, engineering, or similar
- Profound experience in automotive industry

Tasks
- Run technology scouting and vendor collaboration
- Lead definition and early development of next-gen AD ECU
- Drive C-level decision materials
- Partner with AD Software/Hardware, Safety, Simulation/Validation, Procurement, and external vendors
- Act as OEM E/E technical owner for SDS Central Compute hardware
- Serve as primary technical interface between MOIA and international Tier-1 suppliers
- Own transition of AD ECU from early development to series-intent readiness
- Align with industrialization, sourcing, lifecycle, and cost targets
- Define MOIA's test requirements, verification depth, and acceptance criteria for DV/PV
- Provide technical oversight of supplier DV/PV test activities and validation planning
- Review and approve supplier test concepts, plans, and reports
- Verify test coverage, traceability, and alignment with MOIA/VW safety, quality, and homologation requirements
- Create and refine requirements, specifications, verification documentation, and audit readiness
- Participate in design reviews, FMEAs, risk analyses, and milestone/gate reviews
- Produce executive-ready presentations and architecture documents
- Facilitate cross-functional decisions and sign-offs
- Develop multi-year roadmap, dependencies, stage-gates, risk register, and partner collaboration models
