Requirements
- Master’s degree in engineering or physics
- Minimum 5 years systems engineering experience in multi-disciplinary field with highly integrated systems in a commercial environment, preferably in a new space start-up environment balancing classical document focused systems engineering and iterative risk affine new space strategy
- Experience with requirements management processes and tools required, MBSE is a plus
- Understanding of mechanical, optical, thermal, electrical and computer engineering
- Background in optomechanical and/or communication systems
- Results-oriented, reliable and proactive approach, ability to work independently
- Team player, communicative, experience with interdisciplinary project teams
- Very good English skills
- German language skills are an advantage
Tasks
- Support all system aspects of the product
- Coordinate interdisciplinary technical discussions and decisions
- Document trade studies and decisions
- Control system and subsystem interfaces
- Evaluate system design using model-based systems engineering
- Ensure documentation of relevant information and decisions
- Support or lead design and performance budgets
- Conduct analysis and simulation (e.g., link, pointing, mass, power budget, acquisition analysis, performance simulation)
- Develop, review, and maintain requirements
- Manage requirements breakdown and verification
- Contribute to process formation for fast-paced development cycles
- Act as a role model for fellow engineers and managers
- Provide guidance and active help to team members
