Requirements

  • University degree in Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, or related scientific field with major in (Analytical) Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biology
  • Advanced knowledge of radiochemicals (14C and 3H)
  • Working with radiochemical instruments (LSC, radio-HPLC, radio-TLC, sample oxidisers)
  • Expertise in Managing of Environmental Fate studies
  • Minimum 4 years Study Direction in GLP facility or equivalent
  • Very good English skills (spoken and written)
  • German understanding (asset)
  • Good communication skills

  • Good IT skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Tasks

  • Conduct 14C-labeled environmental fate studies in water, soil, and air
  • Perform metabolism studies in plants and animals
  • Lead leaching, persistence, and bioaccumulation studies
  • Develop and validate new extraction and analysis methods
  • Create and discuss study plans with clients
  • Work under GLP to ensure seamless documentation
  • Prepare study reports in English for submission to authorities
  • Maintain close relationships with internal and external clients
  • Train junior study directors in GLP studies and reporting
  • Integrate junior study directors into the team
  • Ensure junior study directors receive in-study training
  • Coordinate studies for chemical risk assessment in the environment, food, and feed
